Introduction

Grade12 titanium alloy is a corrosion-resistant titanium alloy. It is a near-alpha alloy developed to improve the crevice corrosion performance of pure titanium. The alloy contains 0.3% Mo and 0.8% Ni. These additives not only strengthen the alloy, but also significantly improve its crevice corrosion resistance against high temperatures, low pH chlorides or weakly reducing acids. The corrosion resistance of Grade12 alloy is significantly better than that of pure titanium, even close to that of TA9 alloy. In addition, Grade12 titanium alloy also has good process plasticity and welding properties, which makes it widely used in the chemical industry.Grade 12 titanium is considered an "excellent" grade of material due to its high quality weldability, providing great strength at high temperatures.
